My mom’s fig tree is overflowing with ripe delicious figs. We picked a box full of them and they’ve been keeping in the fridge nicely. I’ve had figs at restaurants as an appetizer or even on bruschetta and have always enjoyed the delightful varied ways one can prepare them. Lately, I’ve been spreading a soft triple cream Brie that is the perfect compliment of saltiness to the sweetness of the fruit.
I just cut the figs in half and spread the cheese on top for a delectable and decadent treat…and pair it with my favorite wine.
