The Full Moon Illuminates Our Darkest Places

“It is the pain that says something is now happening which will bring you to wholeness in due course. It is a different pain to the one which says ‘go too deep here and you’ll never return’: the pain of fear, denial, of living a half life because so much is banished to the shadows.”

So much has happened in the month of April from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. To have found and read the quote from Rumi, “The wound is the place where the light enters you” brings me much comfort. This quote coinciding with Mystic Mamma’s interpretation of the full moon we just had on May 14th also brings comfort in knowing that some times the difficult decisions we are faced to make in life are not always easy. But living in “fear, denial, or living a half life” would be more painful than to not face the temporary discomfort, albeit painful discomfort that hopefully will soon penetrate light onto the wound.
