My Style Makeover Airs This Saturday!
In Style Network Make-Over! on January 28, 2010 at 8:34 pmMy episode of the makeover show, “What I Hate About Me” airs this Saturday, January 30th at 9pm on the Style Channel. And here’s a sneak peak on the Style Network’s website.
I’ll also have a blog up on their site: What I Hate About Me
After the show airs I’ll be able to share all the photos and experts I got to meet with you!
Ok…so you may or may not know that I was filmed for a makeover on the Style Network back in November ’09. I had the time of my life. Many people have asked me how I got on the show. To tell you truth, it was just an enticing announcement on some random newsletter and it was all the way at the bottom of the page too. And it said “Win a Free Home & Personal Makeover on the Style Network!” All I needed to see were the words FREE, MAKEOVER and STYLE NETWORK because I LOVE makeovers and the Style channel is one of my favorite channels (besides E! and CNN).
Make-Over Show Wrap Party!
In Style Network Make-Over! on November 21, 2009 at 5:35 pmLast night was the wrap party for the make-over I was on. It was held at a bar in Santa Monica called The Daily Pint. I was really excited to go to the party because 1.) I’ve never been to a wrap party 2.) I couldn’t wait to see all the familiar faces I had spent all those hours with again! and 3.) they finished filming their last girl yesterday so it was a big celebration for everyone involved.
I got to see the beautiful *** again, host of the make-over show, and also got to meet her adorable husband. I have a great photo of them, but can’t post it here (yet!). I also noticed when I walked into the bar, that a few people were staring at me as if they knew me. I didn’t think anything of it, but I met them as the night went on and found out that they’re editing my tape this week! So they know all about me. It was kinda weird meeting strangers who already knew so much about me. Here are some photos I can reveal with some of the friendly faces I got to share my time with during that life-transforming week:

Chad (from "Baston")--he was my hero every day--driving me safely to where I need to be everyday safely in the vanmobile
Day#3: Make-Over Show
In Style Network Make-Over! on November 5, 2009 at 8:59 amBoy was today exciting! I got to go to a famous *** in Beverly Hills and got my *** done! I had no idea it would be such a dramatic difference and make me look so different. This famous *** guru of the stars definitely knows her stuff.
We then went on location in Bel Air where I was sequestered for what seemed like forever in a separate room from everyone else. They didn’t want me to see what was going to happen next. So I got to take a nap and catch up on some zzzz’s. When it was time, they took me out and I got to talk a little bit about *** and with *** that I went through and how I’m having a little trouble with *** now . With that said, they brought out *** who’s written a book called *** and she was amazing! It was such an amazing breakthrough for me and a very emotional one–so when you see those tears, just know they’re real! The day ended with me being surprised by one of THE MOST important people in my life–and tears started streaming down again like a waterfall. **sigh** I LOVE the crew and this show…
The day ended with some nice quiet time with Jimmy at our local sushi place
Day#2:Make-Over Show
In Style Network Make-Over! on November 4, 2009 at 8:25 amWhat a fantastic day! It just keeps getting better…although its only been the second day, it seriously just keeps getting better and better! They filmed at my place today and I was amazed at how they turned my tiny bungalow into a live studio. They were able to fit all the lighting and sound equipment into my tiny space AND fit 10 people in there all at once! Ahhh…the magic of TV.
The lunch was fantastic–zucchini pancakes, brown rice with yummy veggies, fresh tossed salad, and delicious home potatoes. I being fed way too good and I have a feeling I’m going to eat waaay too much this week.
We started at 7:30am and shot way into the night till 8:30pm! I have a new found sense of appreciation for goes into a TV show now.
Ok…I’ll cut to the chase. The most fantastic part of the today was when I was surprised by … and got some sexy …. and then met …who taught me how to … yeah sorry, you’re gonna have to wait for the show to air in January!
I have NO IDEA what’s going to happen tomorrow…all I know is that mom is joining me at some point when she’s picked up and whisked away from Diamond Bar to meet us and Jimmy will be joining us in the afternoon. I’m so excited! Stay tuned…
Post Day#1: Wow! Grueling & Intense
In Style Network Make-Over! on November 3, 2009 at 1:37 amI had no idea that people worked so long and hard in TV. I was standing in “white space” and speaking in front of the camera for almost a grueling 6 hours today! I had to answer some pretty intense questions that really “made me think” about some things about my life I haven’t really pondered about lately–mainly about the tough times I went through last year with the whole separation and divorce. Everyone was really nice. I was driven to the Style Network studios
and as soon as I walked in with the P.A. and checked in at the front, I was called the “talent”
It has a nice ring to it! I also got to meet an awesome “expert” that will be among the many “experts” I meet this week to help improve me
I also got to dress in Chelsea’s (of “Chelsea Lately”) dressing room and sit in her green room. I LOVE Chelsea Lately. Her and Chuy are f’ing hilarious.
You’ll have to wait to see what was said on tape, but I will share that this is going to be a bitchin’ week–I have no idea what’s to come but I’m ready to have fun! Cameras roll at my place starting at 7:30am tomorrow! G’nite and sweet dreams!
Day#1: Make-Over Show
In Style Network Make-Over! on November 2, 2009 at 1:30 pmomg…i’m so excited. It’s the first day I’m getting filmed for my make-over show. I got picked to be on a new Style Network make over show. Every time I share this exciting news with someone, their first response is–why do YOU need a makeover? Well, this show isn’t just about a physical makeover but it’s really any area of my life I’d like help with, want to change, or want to improve–it’s anything from personal to home improvement. I had to fill out a questionnaire about things I’d want to change and one of them was “Paul”–the bunion on my left foot. He doesn’t hurt me, but since I was a kid, it’s difficult finding cute shoes. Going to any school dances was a pain in the ass–I’d have to go to Naturalizer to get pumps…most people probably associate the store with their grandmother–not a 16 year old girl
trying to find prom shoes. But all in all, Paul is probably a blessing in disguise–I have no calluses, corns, blisters, or scarred feet from the stilettos I could never wear and I have not back pain from the 5 inch heels that Paul so vehemently protested against. Thanks Paul!
So you’re probably wondering–what are they going to makeover on you? Well, I don’t know and I won’t know till the day of filming–so every day this week will be full of surprises! I love surprises! I’m getting picked up by a P.A. soon–what does that stand for? Shows you how little I know about TV.
